Branch Annual General Meeting - Wallsend Unit - 12 September 2011

A record number of members and supporters, including Chairmen and representatives from 7 Units attended the AGM held at Wallsend Unit. We were honoured to welcome the High Sheriff of Tyne and Wear, Mr Geoff Hodgson.

Following the meeting, PO Stephen Rumney, acting OiC, gave a brief on the background to Wallsend Unit and its present issues. There followed a tour of the Unit and the evening concluded with 'Evening Colours', after which awards were presented to cadets by the High Sheriff, the Deputy Area Chairman (Mrs Elizabeth Chambers), and the DO for Tyne South and Boat Station Principal, Lt Cdr Alfie Simpson.
